Mr. Bill Whitney with the 2010 Census informs us that the U.S. Census Day officially kicks off April 1 and that’s when the actual questionnaires will be mailed out. He tells us what the government will do with the information they collect and why it has such an impact in our local community. We even learn that it’s actually unlawful not to send the questionnaire back in.
Dr. Bill Scott tells us about a new model of primary care that is becoming increasingly more common in our community. He is a physician with MDVIP where a patient pays a fixed amount per year and can see the doctor for unlimited visits. He limits the number of patients in his practice so he can spend more time with each person.
Our financial expert, Mr. Paul Crowley tells us that men and women do think differently when it comes to money matters and how that affects our daily lives.
Ms. Tiffany Haney with the American Lung Association tells us about current pending state legislation where there is a proposed 50 cents tax increase per pack of cigarettes. She also tells us about an upcoming “Fight for Air Climb” in April raising money for their efforts.
