Outpouring Of Help For Coworker

Asheville's restaurant community is coming together to help one of their own. Jason Crosby was recently diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and is no longer able to work. He has a 4-year-old daughter and a baby on the way. His friends and co-workers say they're doing everything they can to make things a little easier.

Crosby worked at The Junction in the River Arts District. Fellow bartenders are rallying to raise money and calling the effort "Painkiller for a Pancreas". The Junction is hosting a benefit dinner March 13th for Crosby. Dinner is $35/person, not including drinks, tax and gratuity. Offered will be smoked pig from The Chop Shop, desserts from Blue Door Bakery and vegetarian options. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling 828.225.3497

Also from now until until Sunday, March 17, many Asheville bartenders will donate their tips to Jason and his family. The following are participating bartenders:
