Split Snow Day Decisions

The snow day decisions were very different for UNC Asheville and AB-Tech Wednesday morning.
UNCA canceled classes even though many of the more than 3,500 undergrads live on campus. Across town at AB Tech, where nearly 8,200 community college students commute, school officials just called for a two-hour delay. There was mixed reaction at the schools.
AB-Tech's evening classes are on-schedule Wednesday night and UNCA has re-opened. But if the weather changes, call ahead or check the school websites.
