A Rutherford County patrol sergeant is on administrative leave after he was accused of domestic violence against his girlfriend.
37 yr. old Jeff Hamrick has not been charged with a crime, but an internal investigation is underway.
Deputies responded to his home after his 24 yr. old girlfriend called 911 saying Hamrick beat her and threatened to kill her. The sheriff says Hamrick will remain on leave until the internal investigation is finished.
