A retired Asheville firefighter is North Carolina's latest Powerball winner.
66 yr. old Frank Griffin came forward Monday to claim the $141 million jackpot. Griffin will take his prize in a lump-sum payment of $47 million after taxes.
Griffin used to be a driver and engineer for the Asheville Fire Department. Now he owns a janitorial services company.
He says he wants to take care of his children and grandchildren, and take his wife to Hawaii. He also wants to play more golf.
