WMYA Weather

A stubborn, slow-moving system will bring copious amounts of moisture to the region the next 24 hours. This will mean widerspread rainfall, some locally heavy enough to cause general flooding and even flash flooding.

Rainfall amounts may exceed 4 to 5" in places, especially south and east over the Foothills and Upstate. If you live in a flood-prone area, be prepared to move to higher ground if a flash flood warning is issued for your location.

Temperatures will suffer from all of the anticipated clouds and rain. Friday's highs only "warming" into the upper 60s to lower 70s for the mountain valleys and lower to middle 70s for the Upstate.

The weekend will continue the unsettled pattern, but a bit less rain coverage overall can be expected Saturday and especially Sunday. Temperatures will warm into the lower to middle 70s for most mountain valleys, to the upper 70s and lower 80s over the Upstate.
