WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY:  Through 6PM Monday for:  Buncombe, Haywood, Madison, Yancey, Mitchell, Avery, Graham, Jackson, Macon & Swain counties. (1-3")

WINTER STORM WATCH:  From Monday Evening-Thurs. Morning for all Tennessee State Line counties, plus N. Jackson & Macon.

At times, expect light snow to fall today, with a transition to rain at times. A 60% chance for precipitation. The high temperatures today will reach the low 40s. Snowfall will be very elevation dependent. In lower elevations in Buncombe County expect up to .5", with closer to an inch in the northern portions of the county.

There is a chance for snow showers in the mountains tonight, with even a few flurries in the Upstate possible. Lows will drop back down to the low 20s in the mountains and upper 20s in the Upstate. It will turn windy tonight, making it feel very cold Tuesday morning.

A continued chance for early snow showers Tuesday morning. Otherwise, a 40% chance for snow throughout the day. The highest snow accumulations will favor the TN border counties and highest elevations in general. But, the cold will impact everywhere. Highs Tuesday around 30 degrees! A few lingering snow showers in the highest elevations Wednesday morning. It will stay very cold through Thursday. Overnight lows will drop down to the low teens.
