Winter Weather Advisory until 4pm Monday above 3,500 ft. for Graham, Haywood, N. Jackson & Swain Counties.  Slippery travel, blowing snow & 1-3" possible in the highest elevations.

Light snow falling throughout the day in those advisory counties. Although, we are seeing light snow in Madison, Yancey, Mitchell and Avery counties as well.   Most of the snow accumulations should be very light-1-3" in the highest elevations of the advisory areas.

Today will be chillly, high temperatures in the low 40s, with gusty winds up to 25 mph.  Expect a mostly cloudy day today for most valley locations. Overnight Monday, expect another chance for light snow accumulations in our high mountain counties and a slight chance for rain/snow in the valleys.

Partly sunny Tuesday with a chance for a rain/snow mix early in the day. Temperatures struggling to reach 40 degrees. Cold and dry air returns to the region Wednesday. Sunshine and temperatures in the 40s. Another chance for light snow Thursday, so stay with News 13 for an update on the forecast.
