WMYA Weather

Today will bring a little more sunshine and warmth to the area!  There is still a 50% chance of rain, but we are starting to break free of that stubborn rainy pattern.  Highs today will return to the low 80s! We will soon have more typical summertime weather. This will occur in the next 24 hours as an area of low pressure over the Gulf Coast drifts farther west, and a cold front approaches from the north and west.

What this will mean for the region is a warmer and eventually drier patter. Before we get to the drier part, we must first go through another active period overall the next 24 to 36 hours. Scattered showers and some thundershowers will be possible today and Thursday.

Friday will bring drier weather to the region as the cold front passes to our south. This will be the first time in a long while that rain won't be in the forecast. Temperatures will be trending warmer as well. Highs likely in the lower 80s for the next several days, before warming into the middle 80s over the weekend.
